Wild Safari Wild Safari was brought out about the same time that Battat and the Jurassic Park figures started showing up. This is a series of more affordable figures. They were originally all brightly painted and they are not to a standard scale but reflect a relative scale. Figures have been revised and others given new paint jobs. The Wild Things Line of baby dinosaurs are often marketed in conjunction with the Wild Safari figures. They originally matched the adult figures coloring and had a resemblance to the animated dinosaurs in the Little Foot series of videos. It is easy to compare these figures to JP baby dinosaurs released with their action figures. In addition to the regular figures the Allosaurus, Triceratops and Utahraptor were sold in paint your own dinosaur kits. Safari appears to be making a effort to differentiate the Wild Safari line from the the Carnegie line. Recent releases seem to avoid duplicating any of the Carnegie line. |
