Mojo
update 081012
Mojo has released a new line of 12 prehistoric figures, farm animals and Jungle animals. Endless Games will be distributing the figures in the US. It is sized for easy stocking and compatible with the museum sets and has a place in Independent stores, Chains, E Biz and museum shops. He described it as a quality product, collectable and kid friendly. The review copies I have fit Mike’s vision. The Triceratops, Tyrannosaurus and two Velociraptor are retro classic figures straight from the Golden Book for dinosaurs. I didn’t like the orange paint for the raptors and Mike says a repaint is in the works. Stegosaurus and Parasaurolophus are great two tone figures with nice details. The Brachiosaurus has an S shaped reptilian movement that makes it unique. There are three mammals; an adult and baby mammoth with a Smilodon. These are in the same style as the Mojo modern mammals. I got a particularly nice Mojo hyena whose ancestors coexisted with Smilodon and mammoths. My two favorites are the Sarcosuchus and Tylosaurus, they would fit into any collection. The figures I have lack stamps for the names but I expect that will change. The production quality easily exceeds similar priced AAA and UKRD figures. When compared to similar Schleich’s junior line and Bullyland standard series they appear more modern in reconstruction, better detailed and have a wider selection.
In 2012 A large size T rex is released.
